W1: Judgement Day Round by Round Results

In What is W1's biggest show to date with 2 title Fights, and Two Huge stars in Steve Bosse and Denis Kang this card is set to be a Canadian Classic, check out all the updates and Round by Round Results here,

Demetrios Arvanopolus / Jay Alexander


The crowd is excited and the fighter’s are ready this event is starting out well with electricity in the air.

Both fighters come out looking to score early, going for the takedown early and takes the mount quickly, scrambles and locks in the knee bar for the quick and impressive submission victory for Demetrios in the first round at 1 minute 40 seconds.

Josh Hill/ Brent Franczuz



Franczuz comes out looking confident with MFC in his corner, James Heugh and Rino are there to corner him in his big fight.



Josh Hill comes out to some questionable walkout music but also looks very ready with an excellent corner as well in Allin, and the Iron Tiger group.



Round 1



Hill goes for the takedown right away, Brent defends well but Hill powers through to put Franczuz on his back.

Hill goes for some ground and pound and Brent attempts a triangle choke, it’s close but Hill powers out of the hold.

Hill goes for some more ground and pound Franczuz is doing very well to defend and attack from his back but nothing is sticking, Hill takes the mount with 30 seconds left but cannot amount an attack of any signifigance as the round comes to a close.

Round 2



Second round starts slow, but Brent slips and falls to his back on a kick attempt and Hill takes full advantage and gets the top position.

Action is slow but Josh is definitely in control and moves to the cage and begins to start pounding away only landing intermittingly.

Hill continues to put on the pressure and takes his opponents back leading to the rear-naked choke.

Josh Hill wins by rear naked choke, 3:44 of the second round.



Bruno Hosier/ John McPherson

John looks ready to fight, he is out of the gym BAMA out of Burlington which is the home of Adam Assenza the XCC Lightweight title holder

Bruno Hosier is calm and looks ready to do some damage, this should be good.



Round 1

Bruno looks to close the distance and McPherson is circling away, Hosier is just walking his opponent down very methodical and landing some good shots. Hosier lands an iside leg kick that hurts

John is a gamer though and fires back with big shots and works for a takedown, Hosier reverses it and gets the mount, immediately raining down blows.

McPherson reverses the position and has Hosier working from his back, the ground scramble continues with the action landing back on their feet, the round comes to a close with McPherson holding Hosier against the fence.

10-9 Bruno

Round 2

McPherson comes out right away with some fire but lands nothing, they are trading big shots but not many are landing til Hosier lands a big Uppercut, the end comes right after as Hosier pounds McPherson out for the TKO win at 0 :46 of the second round.

Misha Cirkunov/ Roy Boughton

Roy comes out with TUF Winner Nate Diaz in his corner,

Misha comes out to huge applause and he looks ripped, Misha is one BIG 205er, we have heard amazing things about Misha and it will be good to see what this top prospect can do in the cage.



Round 1

Roy gets takedown right away but instantly Misha reverses it and applies a guillotine choke, the attempt is unsuccessful but the scramble leads to Misha taking Roy’s back and sinking in the rear-naked choke, he then turns that into an armbar but Roy escapes again.

Misha lands on top and looks for position, he gets it the mount t immediately Roy scrambles, again Misha gets position in mount to back and looks for the rear-naked choke, they stand back up and scramble again, this is an amazing back and forth battle with Misha clearly winning on points but with Roy there every step of the way.



10-9 round for Misha easy



Round 2

Misha looks really tired and Roy looks to be pushing the pace, moving well and landing some good shots, the big man is looking out of his element, Roy is landing and Misha is missing and Roy lands a big takedown.\Misha attempts a kneebar and Roy takes position and gets a quick armbar lock for the win.

A BIG upset as One of Canada’s Top Prospects takes an unexpected loss.

Jorge Britto / Ryan Machan

Ryan Machan one of Alberta’s top Lightwieghts makes his way to Quebec to fight One Of the East’s best 155ers in Britto, this should be a great fight.

Round 1



Both fighters come out with strong strikes right away, machan has a clear size advantage but Britto is clearly much more densely muscled.

Machan lands a big body kick and is moving and ixing up his strikes well stalking his opponent, Jorge attempts some leg kicks and nothing lands.Britto lands a big right but Machan shakes it off and fires back.

Britto pushes Machan into the fence and Machan reverses him and lands some dirty boxing before separating.



Round 2



Britto swings big to start the round but lands nothing, Ryan again is the aggressor this round until he gets dumped on his back , they scramble and Britto takes his back looking for the rear naked choke then transitioning into an armbar attempt Machan stands up and they trade some more with Machan scoring more often with better shots, Jorge lands some good shots to make Machan retreat momentarily but Machan takes contol of Jorge and puts him into the fence.

The round ends the same as the first one Ryan Machan controlling the pace and landing more and better shots.



Round 3



Right away Ryan takes the centre of the Octagon and begins to work right away at picking Britto apart again, all Britto has for an answer is big haymaker punches but they aren’t landing.

Jorge applies a quick guillotine then from there takes Machens back and works for a rear naked choke, Britto is holding him but Machan is in no real danger.

Machan now stands up and tells the ref to stand Britto up, he does and Machan begins to stalk his opponent again and landing some good shots.



The fight comes to an end and CanadianProFighter.com has it scored 29-28for Ryan Machan

Jorge Britto wins, By split decision, I don’t agree with this decision but NEVER leave it to the judges



Antonio Carvalho / Juan Barrantes


Antonio starts off quickly, throwing head kicks and big punches, he lands a few good shots leading to a HUGE right hand dropping his Juan to the ground, he moves in to finish but it is clear the fight is done the ref stops the fight at 2:00 into the first round.

Ivan Menjivar / Baron Miller



The return of Ivan Menjivar to the Montreal area and he receives an amazing reception



Thierry Quenneville/ John Fraser

Quenneville comes out to a big reception, next “The Haggis Basher” John Fraser comes out to his bagpipes and a lot of booing, it is clear who the crowd is behind, and it’s not “The Haggis Basher”

Round 1



Both fighter’s look incredibly intense and ready for battle, John Fraser is ready to avenge his first pro loss and has been training incredibly hard and is one of the most dedicated fighters CPF knows.



John circles and they clinch and throw strikes, Thierry goes for the takedown and Freser stuffs him and reverses,the scramble isn’t over though and at the end of it Quenneville is the one on top, Thierry lands some good shots from the top but nothing damaging, Quenneville gets the mount with 1:45 left in the round and moves Fraser to the cage. The positions reverse and now “The Haggis Basher is on top throwing down blows, the round ends pretty even and is hard to score.

Round 2



Thierry goes for the takedown but Fraser stuffs it, they are trading shots with Fraser getting the better of it, Fraser is dropped by a big right but pops right back to his feet, they lock up and Fraser is against the fence and defends the takedown, Thierry is now bleeding from the nose and Fraser is becoming more aggressive, he goes in for the attack and presses Quenneville into the fence taking his back and working for the rear naked choke, Thierry reverses the position and does some damage from the top the round ends with Quenneville on top.

another close one but again 10-9 for Quenneville.



Round 3

Thierry is winning the striking exchange with crisper strikes but “The Haggis Basher” is right in there the whole way, they hit the ground with John on top, Fraseer is looking to advance position right away and is having some success with it, he gets to half guard and works for more, Fraser attempts a D’Arce choke but Thierry escapes, Fraser is back on top and the round closes with Fraser Forcing his will on his opponent.

Round 4


We are into the championship rounds now and although Fraser is dripping with sweat and blood he comes out hard right away, landing some BIG vicious punches to put Quenneville to the ground, the ref jumps in at :56 seconds of the 4th round for the TKO win and the belt.



John “ The Haggis Basher” Fraser beats the first man to defeat him and wins the W1 145 title!!




Ivan Menjivar / Aaron Miller

Menjivar makes his return home to the Montreal area where he receives a nice welcome



Round 1

Menjivar goes for a big throw and gives up his back in the process, Ivan tries to put on a kimura but it doesn’t stick, they stand and trade a few but nothing significant lands, they hit the ground with miller on top, it doesn’t take long and Miller is tapping to a tight triangle choke by Menjivar.

Menjivar wins by triangle choke at 2:25 of the first round.



135 lb Title Fight
Arian Wooley/ Randy Spence



Adrian Wooley the 135 lb champ makes his way to the cage and he is fired up!

Round 1

They trade some big shots right away and Adrian pushes Spence against the fence and dirty boxes with him throwing in the occasional knee to the leg Wooley is keeping the pressure on tight but not doing much damage.Wooley drops his opponent and follows with punches to end the round.

Round 2

Adrian Wooley is a different fighter tonight mixing in a lot of big strikes with his usual stifling grappling, he is still using his wrestling to control the fight but is striking quite well tonight.

Spence doesn’t seem to have an answer for Adrian’s pressure. Wooley holds his opponent to the fence for most of the round but attacks viciously to end the round, hurting Spence bad with punches.

Round 3

This round starts out like the last one ended with big punches landed by Wooley, the action slows quickly though and Wooley pushes Spence up to the fence again and works his dirty boxing.

They separate and trade punches landing little, Wooley lands a big leg kick and Spence hit’s the ground.

Round 4

Both fighters looking bruised but Wooley doesn’t seem to have slowed at all, Spence is quickly into a familiar place being pushed against the fence by Wooley, they trade a few and work back to the centre of the ring.

Wooley`s leg kicks are starting to take effect, he goes for a double leg though and gets his opponent on his back in quick fashion and works from guard, his opponent is fading quickly as the ref jumps in and stops the fight for a TKO win in the 4th round at 4:40

Steve Bosse/ Mycheal Clarke

Clarke comes out dancing and making a good show of his walkout but can he fight? We will find out soon as Bosse comes to Scrap, We are in the Colisee Laval where Bosse made his name as a Hockey fighter, there is no secret who the crowd is behind and it’s Bosse they are going crazy in anticipation of his fight.



Round 1

They waste little time in exchanging and Bosse is throwing bombs, he is looking to end this one early.

Clarke ties him up and looks for the takedown against the cage, Bosse stuffs it effectively and they separate, Bosse comes straight at him again with big shots but doesn’t land much, they hit the ground with Bosse on top, Bosse works to side control and begins to deliver punishment, Bosse continues to rain down punishment and the fight is stopped by TKO at 4:29 of the first Round.

Denis Kang v Dae Won Kim

The Main Event of the Evening Denis Kang, one of Canada`s best is up and he is fighting a very tough opponent in Dae Won Kim who comes out to Kung Fu Fighting, Denis comes out and the crowd obviously behind the Canadian. Kang looks to be in great shape.

Round 1

No touch of the gloves and Denis drops Dae Won Kim seconds into the fight and follows him to the ground looking to punish his opponent, Kim is desperately trying to hold on but Kang is working his way to a full arm-triangle for the win, Impressive victory for Kang after a long lay off.
