Damien Vitale/Chuck O’Neil

Round 1

They don’t waste any time as they start throwing hard right away, the action hit’s the mat and Damien is on top, quick triangle attempt from O’Neil and Vitale breaks free some ground work with not much happening and they are back up.

Vitale took a sharp knee to the groin and the action is halted for some recovery time, right away Vitale looks to put on the pressure and takes Chuck to the ground, Chuck holds on and waits for the round to end.

Round 2

Back on the ground pretty quickly with Vitale on top again, slow moving action with both fighters looking for position.

They get back up and work for position against the cage, Vitale takes down, O’Neil gets back up and again they work for position again throwing in dirty boxing when they can.

Round 3

O’Neil lands some big shots to start the round, Vitale looks to be tiring but works hard for the takedown, O’Neil’s corner screaming at him to stay on his feet, O’Neil lands a big shot and the action stops to look at a big cut on Vitale’s head, the fight is stopped due to cut.

Damien Vitale wins via Doctor stoppage!

Both fighters looking fresh, Rebello gets the takedown and Doyle spins out, Rebello does not give up however and works for the takedown.

Round3
Big head kick, by doyle and Greg hits the deck, they scramble back up and are on their feet, they go to the ground and both men are working hard for position, the round is back and forth and very even, cold go either way but I give the round to Doyle 10-9

TELEVISED FIGHTS

Carey Vanier/ Toby Imada

Round1
Both fighters in the lightweight semi-final match looking ready for war the Televised show kicks off with these two amazing athletes.
The fighters meet at the center of the cage and do some feeling out, Vanier takes Toby down, and works from side control, and they are back up, Carey lands a nice front kick to the face Vanier pressing but Toby moving well to avoid the shots, Vanier takes him back down, and works Tobyu into the cage Toby tries for an armbar and they end up back on their feet.   Vanier takes him down and Imada goes for an ankle lock resulting in a suplex for his efforts but to not much effect and they are on their feet again, Toby hurts Vanier to end the round.

Round2
They are exchanging with not a whole lot of damage, Imada is pressing the action, Vanier starting to look hesitant.  Toby is winning the stand-up exchanges they hit the ground ans Imada goes for another leg lock. Imada is on top delivering punishment and transitions to a beautiful arm bar to end the fight.
Imada has really stepped up his game and is looking like the an elite fighter ready for a shot at the belt!

Roger Huerta/ Pat Curran

Two of my favourite BELLATOR fighters in Pat Curran and Roger Huerta, this is a tough fight to pick.
Roger is definitely the more polished fighter but Pat has the pedigree and serious power as displayed in his high light reel KO of Canadian Mike Ricci!  Before the fight I talked with Curran and told him I had him for the tourney after KOing our boy Ricci, I hope he KO's Huerta too!

Round1
Curran throws a big headkick and slaps Huerta across the face with his foot, Heurta shrugs it off.
patis landing with Power Heurta does not like it, Curran's leg kicks are leaving welts, Pat has some serious snap on his shots!  Roger comes back with some good shots of hiw own, but Curran is not fazed.  They clinch and work for position, Roger pushing Pat into the cage.Heurta lans a big knee to the body, Curran with a push kick to Roger's face with not much power.

Close first round 10-9 for Curran on my scorecard.

Round2
Roger starts with a side kick to the head but with no luck, they meet at the center of the cage and trade light shots, Roger working the leg kicks Roger is not landing many shots but his leg kicks are landing, Curran  is stalking, but Roger hurts him and Curran goes for the takedown with no success.
They clinch and Roger puches him into the fence looking for the takedown, but does not get it, they break and trade some shots, Curran landing a good shot to end the round.

We have it 10-9 for Heurta last round makes the fight

Round3
Heurta comes out aggresive but Curran is dealing with him well, they clinch and work for position. Heurta throwing knees into his opponents mid-section against the fence.  Both fighters trading and fighting hard, landing big shots, this round is a war  and Curran seems to be the one winning it.
Curran gets a takedown and is looking to press the action, Roger is looking tired, fight ends with a flurry and the fight ends.

Canadianprofighter.com has it 29-28 but this fight was a war and extremely close could go either way!

Winner is Pat Curran wins by unanimous decision 29-28

BELLATOR CHAMP Eddie Alvarez/ UFC vet Josh Neer

One of the top lightweights in the world and canadianprofighter.com ranked #1 in the world Eddie Alvarez looks to fight for his #1 world ranking after this fight the rankings in the lightweight division should become more clear.

Round1
Fight starts and they meet in the center of the ring, they tie up and seperate, eddie takes Neer to the ground and worls to punish Neer from the topAlvarez is picking his shots well from gaurd and is landing some big ground and pound.  Eddie moves to full mount but Neer reverse and ends up on top, they satnd and seperate, Neer stalkin and Eddie slams him hard to the ground, takes mount and ends the round in full mount.

Round2
Eddie looks to take him to the ground immediately but does not succeed, they are back on their feet and Eddie is moving well, landing a huge elbow against the fence and taking him down.
alvarez has some brutal Ground and Pound Eddie takes his back for the rear-naked choke and puts Neer to sleep, out cold!

Cole Konrad/ Pat Bennett
 Round1
Pat lands a stiff jab right away and Cole moves forward, grabbing ahold of Pat and taking him to the ground, working to half guard, very quickly while peppering in shots and looking for better position.
Cole stands and looks to punish landing some big shots and completey overpowering him and getting to full mount and raining down big punches and just punishing Pat.

10-8 round all Cole Pat had nothing to offer him

Round2
Cole mauls Pat into the fence, Cole is like a bear he is just pure power and Joe Doran (senior account exec.) says he walks in the cage at about 285, Cole gets his hands on Pat and moves him into the fence and they break both fighters seem a little tired and Cole is taking his time seeming very confident, Pat lays a big punch but isn't able to follow it up, big right hand fom Cole that shakes Pat a bit.
The action slows and the crowd begins to show its displeasure.

10-9 round for Cole

Round3
The fighters start the 3rd with a good exchange and Pat gets the better of it putting Cole back a step,  but not for long as Cole puts Pat into the fence, but Pat swings back and lands some good shots and Cole backs up.
3rd round is a little slow, now Cole moves forward and they both exchange neither fighter is doing much and the crowd shows that it is unhappy with a shorty chorus of boos, Pat begins to stalk Cole, neither fighter being very effective, but Pat definitely is getting the better of the striking
