MFC dragster ready to roar Sponsored car expected to be force at Castrol Raceway

by MFC Staff

The Maximum Fighting Championship has sped to the top of the mixed martial arts world and now the MFC is firing up a powerful engine on the racetrack.

Fans who came to MFC 25: Vindication saw first-hand at the doors to the Northlands Expo Centre the MFC’s new venture into auto racing with the unveiling of the Maximum Fighting Championship-sponsored dragster run by Ragged Glory Racing. It is a stellar piece of machinery that will be fired up at Castrol Raceway with owner and crew chief Ken Mix overseeing the skills of driver of Nadine Mix.

“I think the MFC car is the coolest thing,” said Ken Mix, whose crew includes Lenny Feschuck and Dave Fritz. “We’re very happy that Mark came in and put the Maximum Fighting Championship name on the car. It’s definitely one of the coolest cars out there.

“We’re glad a number of the fans got to see the car at MFC 25. There are a lot of race fans who are also fight fans so it’s very exciting for us to team up with the MFC and make a great combination. It is a fantastic way to cross-promote and bring each other a lot more fans.”

Details on the dragster include a 274-inch Spitzer chassis on a carbon-fibre body with a 1,360-horsepower engine and 1,200 foot-torque. Though the car hasn’t been completely put through its paces yet, Mix expects a whole lot out of the MFC-backed beast which will run in the Top Eliminator class. Fans of the MFC dragster will get a great chance to see it in action at the Rocky Mountain Nationals, one of the most-prominent events on the IHRA schedule, plus other major events at Castrol Raceway including the special Hot August Night.

“I think we’ll get pretty close to 200 miles per hour. We’re going to shake the car down after the May long weekend and we’ll see what it can do,” added Ken. “We are very excited to be working with the MFC as our company Hyperion Laser Wellness is also a MFC sponsor.

“We are looking forward to help promote MFC not only at the racetrack but through our ability to accelerate the healing process of these incredible athletes. We are confident this will prove to be a winning combination with a lot of awesome people and great fans. It’s going to be a fun ride so come on out to the track and cheer us on.”
