WEC 48 ALDO vs. FABER Press Conference hilights

In what is the most stacked card by far the WEC has ever put on, in what is truly is a PPV worthy event the Featherweights once again take center stage at the Arco Arena for WEC 48 Aldo v Faber.

Canadianprofighter was invited to last night's tele-press conference holding the event here are some of the highlights of what took place.

-Dana White expects the Faber/ Aldo fight to be fight of the year or at least contender for fight of the year.

-The WEC lightweights are merging into the UFC and the WEC will finally be showcasing 125 pounders very soon.
- Dana says last week was an "embarrassment", "they shouldn't have been on TV and now we have to clean this mess up"
"As we start to add more weight divisions to the WEC – when we start adding lighter weight divisions – the 155 pound division would probably make sense just to put it into the UFC," White said

- Dana says last week's Strikeforce card was an "embarrassment", "they shouldn't have been on TV and now we have to clean this mess up"

-White expects this PPV to at least double the Hopkins / Roy jones Jr. PPV that only did 90,000 buys and says that everyone will benefit should it be a success.

White said it would be "terrible if Saturday's pay-per-view buy rate did not double the numbers of April 3's boxing match between Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones, Jr"

Uriah Faber quoted

"I feel like everyone on the card will benefit if the card does well. I know that selling out the ARCO Arena is big, and having people be interested in the fight is big, and this is what I've been working towards, is to prove I can make some money and hopefully get some in return."

-Dana White was confident that the promotion's three years on cable built a fan base who will buy the event

"There's an evolution, when we started the WEC, we built a fan base on television we got these guys some exposure now people know them, and people will buy the pay-per-view.  said Dana

"I believe we've done the right things to take a stacked card with a great main event and co-main event  to hopefully take the lighter-weight fighter to the next level."
