ADRENALINE TRAINING CENTER, ONTARIO AMATEUR WRESTLING ASSOCIATION and WESTERN FAIRGROUNDS CO-ORDINATE FOR GRAPPLING TOURNAMENT

FIGHTERS AND GRAPPLERS STILL NEEDED
LONDON, Ont. – Adrenaline Training Center, Ontario Amateur Wrestling Association, Western Fairgrounds’ Lifestyle and Fitness show collaborate for London’s first 32-man open weight (no weight limit) grappling tournament. The weekend event begins on Saturday April 10th, 2010 11 am.  All being covered by Canadianprofighter.com

“We’re very proud and excited to be bringing this 32-man open weight submission grappling tournament to the city of London. This is an opportunity for Adrenaline Training Center working with FILA, the Canadian Amateur Wrestling Association (CAWA) and the Ontario Amateur Wrestling Association (OAWA) to showcase local and provincial athletes in a sanctioned tournament setting.” said Mark Hominick.


“This tournament is a first of its kind, being a complete open weight competition. It is great to see such a strong club in ATC teaming up with OAWA and presenting CAWA/FILA grappling. I look forward to seeing the support from all the sport enthusiasts and martial arts communities.” Clint Kingsbury, FILA grappling instructor, CAWA domestic development manager.


Adrenaline Training Center (ATC) is a mixed martial arts facility located at 1794 Dundas St. in London, Ont. Adrenaline Training Center, opened in 2008, is owned and operated by city natives UFC lightweight contender, Sam ‘Hands of Stone’ Stout, WEC competitors, Mark ‘The Machine’ Hominick, and Chris ‘The Polish Hammer’ Horodecki. ATC and associates are intending to bring awareness of the rapidly growing sport to the city of London.


We also are going to divide the bracket into two groups. Top half being under 80 kg, and bottom half being over 80 kg (80 kg is 176.4 lbs). Atleast try to get people evenly matched up within a similar weight bracket first round. This way were trying to insure the best matchups for the public to watch and, well....it's how the bigwigs get 'r'done.
