In anticipation of next week's UFC 111 event, the Ultimate Fighting Championship's biggest card thus far in 2010, the company has a full slate of pre-event fan festivities.
On Wednesday the UFC announced it'll head to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, for a fan event with Canadian UFC fighters Sam Stout and Krzysztof Soszynski next Tuesday, March 23.
Hosted by UFC president Dana White, the event takes place at the Toronto Eaton Centre with a Q&A session, autograph signings, and update on the UFC's plans for future Canadian shows.
The event takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. ET (local time) at 220 Yonge St. (third floor). Wristbands for autographs will be handed out at 10 a.m. ET on the day of the event.
UFC 111, which features a headliner between UFC welterweight champion and French-Canadian Georges St-Pierre and top contender Dan Hardy, takes place March 27 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. The pay-per-view main card also includes an interim heavyweight title fight between Shane Carwin and Frank Mir.
Stout, a longtime UFC fighter, competes on Vancouver's UFC 113 main card in a fight with fellow lightweight Jeremy Stephens. The London, Ontario native has won back-to-back "Fight of the Night" awards and now goes for his third straight win.
Soszynski, who grew up in Winnipeg, recently defeated Stephan Bonnar at UFC 110 via controversial TKO (due to a cut from an accidental headbutt unseen by the referee). The rematch is expected to happen this summer.
