Battle at the Border 8 offical Press Release

After a widely successful event in February, XCC’s Battle at the Border will return with the biggest and most action packed event to date. The US truck driver’s training school and Canadianprofighter.com along with XCC present Battle at the Border 8- USA vs. CANADA. 3 Championships will be on the line as Team Canada invades the Port Huron Armories in Port Huron, Michigan April 17 to take on their American counterpart.




Team USA will once again be led by young phenom Cory Krings as he looks to unify the Featherweight Championship against super striker Forrest Cable. Both of these athletes will look to impose their will on each other. After a huge victory last time out over then undefeated Jon Bilagot, Krings wants to make a statement in the division and prove to the XCC that he is the real deal. Cable on the other hand, coming off of a serious injury, has taken his training up a level and looks to keep the Featherweight Championship on the north side of the border.



In the second part of the main event, “The Guitar Hero” Justin Jaynes looks to once again capture the Vacant Lightweight Championship as he takes on “The Canadian Bacon” Chris Logan. Since dropping down to the lightweight division Logan has been on a tear reeling off 5 straight victories thus earning him a shot at the title. Jaynes on the other hand has been on a much bigger tear, Capturing the welterweight Championship at the recent UCF tournament a few weeks back Jaynes won’t be satisfied until he captures what was once his, the XCC Lightweight Championship.



As the final match in our triple threat main event Superstar Bobbi Jo Dalziel looks to defend her title against her toughest opponent to date, new comer Emma O’Connor. Bobbi Jo, who was once known primarily as a striker, earned her last victory via rear naked choke in the first round of Battle at the Border 6 last October. Emma on the other hand is trained by the world renowned API Caveman training as part of Team Pit fighter in London, Ontario. She will look to use her strength and amazing conditioning against the well rounded Dalziel. This fight has all the makings of fight of the night.



All title fights scheduled for 5 rounds.
