(fighter profile) Mady's trained fighter Theo "Traumatic" Toney

Recently canadianprofighter.com had traveled to Port Huron to cover Battle at the Border, what we had witnessed was a tremendous display of heart, courage, and skill from many fighters, but team Mady had a few in particular and Theo "Traumatic" Toney was one that stood out.  His battle with Adam Assenza was fast, furious, and filled with action and skill.  Team Mady's fighters are known for being very skilled, active and full of heart "Traumatic" said might even step up in weight to take on Adrenaline's Jason Harkes j/k.  Check out this "Warrior Poet" before he becomes one of Canada's finest lightweights!!

1- Name?

- Full name is Theophilus Clinton Orin Toney Jr... but I go by Theo Traumatic Toney or just Traumatic

Traumatic_Toney@hotmail.com

6- What is your fight record?

mma 6-3

7- What was your best fight? and worst? and why?

Every fight there’s need for improvement! I fought Jesse Gross whose an incredible warrior and even though he had 30lbs on me I didn't fight the way I should have, but blah whatever.

8- What is your main skill set?

My never die energy, fight intelligence, n humbleness to learn

My energy. Need to lean to unleash more

11- What is your main training goal?

I train today to be better than I was yesterday. I want to learn 13 Martial Art disciplines

12- What advice do you have for new fighters here in Canada?

Be humble! Start off with a specific style and take your time to learn. Its not the Dojo that maters but the spirits of the warriors within

13- Do you think Canada is producing the best fighters in the world? and why?

YES! As a Wrestler, I've been fortunate to train in Canada and the USA with many top athletes. We train technically and humbly without all the hype and are even more fortunate to have world class Coaches. I have even turned down scholarships because I was being steered morally in the wrong direction. With MMA we come in hungry, from various backgrounds knowing we must make the best of every fight opportunity because Canada has yet to fully embrace the new sport.

14- What is the biggest hurdle ahead of you in the ring/cage?

My biggest hurdle is educating my fellow freestyle wrestlers, judokas and martial artists on the sport of MMA and getting them to fight. Personally I welcome all challenges and plan on destroying all hurdles

15- What advice do you have for any up and coming fighters?

Train! Train! TRAIN! mentally, physically and spiritually... and after all that you still face yourself with adversity... instead of focusing on the mistake, look at the lesson learned from the mistake

16- Who is your favorite and least favorite fighter?

GSP and for least favorite I have a 3 way tie with Chuck Liddell/ Tito Ortiz/ Keith Jardine

17-Give us your thoughts on your tough loss at Battle at the Border, do you plan on returning? Would you like a rematch?

Without the taste of defeat I remain incomplete. Sure why not I'll fight Assenza anytime

18- Anyone in particular you would like to fight within the next yr?

Rick Morais, Adam Assenza, and I'll even fight you lol jk

19- If you weren’t going to be a fighter what would you want to do?

A published Poet/ Writer and a Psychologist

20- Any comments you would like to add?

Without the guidance of Chris Kelman (RAW), Grandmaster Albert Mady (Team Mady) and Rob Lewis... This Poetic Hitman wouldn't of found his positive yet traumatic inspiration
